Why does Yahoo Euchre allow your partner to force forfeit by leaving when you and she/he are ahead eg 9-2?

Euchre players sometimes lose a certain win by a partner who quits the table when you would have won with one more hand. If this is followed by an opponent also leaving, it means the winning team forfeits because nobody wants to replace a team behind, let’s say, 9 to 1. The winning player’s only option is to forfeit or ask that the game be cancelled, a request generally refused by the lone opponent.
