The "Contract on America" is an ongoing attempt at having an industrial first world country governed in an 18th century style. Give the rich everything they want and wealth will trickle down on the little people. Cut government oversight, or better yet, eliminate it and the corporate godfathers will fall all over themselves to pay good wages, provide excellent benefits and above all, provide job security. Ignore the physical and social infrastructure of the country and a benevolent deity from above will provide for the poor, the lame, the disfavored and the diminished. The roads and bridges will last forever and the natural wonders of America will at last be thrown open to every bulldozer, wood chopper, hole digger and driller in America. Say Amen! Say Amen! Corporate America can be trusted to protect the air and water and the fast eroding soil of the North American Continent….all we have to do is make ‘government smaller’. We don’t need no stinkin’ taxes, at least not any that don’t go to our bloated military…so saith Newt Gringrich and his fellow Project for a New American Century (PNAC) neo-confederates.
Not a single Republican in the House voted for the Obama’s "American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan" and only three Northeastern Republicans (two from Maine and one from Pennsylvania) voted for the Plan in the Senate.

The "Contract on America" Neo-Confederacy is alive and well in the Republican Party. Hey, the Republican Party even hired a new "House N-person" as its Chairman of the RNC, Michael Steele. All those poor N-people are just "dying" to become Republicans (or is it that they are just dying at the hands of Republicans?)….

Where did the card game euchre get its start?
