As far as I know, there’s no formula for that.

There is a function called SpellNumber, which converts numbers into words; however, it makes them currency values. The programming for it is here; you might be able to get rid of the “dollars and cents” by tinkering with the programming:

Hey, these may already be programmed into your version of Excel. Just try it first: eg GetHundreds (599)
