I understand when we are not in a recession, then lowering spending makes sense. But the point is we ARE in a recession, where people are not spending anymore, markets ARE in fact contracting, and thus there is less capital in the system —> Recession.

In a recession there are two ways to increase capital in the economy and markets and thus the difference in fiscal policy:

#1: Put in money directly in the system – through spending – education, roads, infrastructure, bridges, etc.

#2: Cut taxes (although the HUGE ASSumption made here is that people will directly spend it when they get it and will not directly put it in their savings account or use it to pay off debt, which is what happened with the last stimulus check – neither of which puts money in the system). Republicans only want the top 1% to get the tax break – who, let’s face it, would rather pocket the money than create a job for someone from it (as they have the right to do).

Don’t conservatives get that the whole point of a recession
Ronald Reagan is

My neighbor who was very poor became very rich when he transferred to the most corrupt department of our government. He was a director of that department and his brothers where the supplier and/or contractor. When a contract is awarded to another contractor he gets commission. Furthermore, when our government award lots and/or houses and lots to our poor people he gets several lots and later construct houses and/or apartments and then leases it. He robbed about a hundred of houses that should have gone to the poor who lived on the street and money that were supposed to be used for the roads, bridges, etc. On his death, the adopted daughter splurges on the ill gotten wealth. If somebody can give me some guidance so that I can help our poor people.

-At the Grand Rapids TNA live show, Kurt Angle squashed the WWE return rumors. Angle announced that he loves TNA, wants to extend his contract with the company and that he will never return to the WWE again. He said he never wants to work for Vince McMahon again, despite his recent radio appearance where he said he could return to WWE if he wanted to, since his TNA contract is about to expire and he did not burn any bridges in WWE when he left.
