I’m due in Feb and I have a contract where I work from home to book all the shows for a small company through the internet. The person that owns the company has never had children and I feel he’s trying to edge me out as if I’ll be in a mental ward during and after birth. I explained that women have babies all the time and go back to work and it’s not a big deal…meaning working after giving birth isn’t a big deal. Especially since I work from home and I’ll have family here to help me. I can do my job in my sleep so I’m sure after a few days I can do some e-mails. Heck, I had a friend that had a baby last week and she was facebooking within 30 min after she gave birth!! What should I say? I don’t want to burn a bridge but I need to know my rights.

Update to answers: I’m only 5 1/2 months and they had me turn in the work lap top and phone tonight. I have not missed any work and have done a way better job than the last 2 people that had this job.Contract ends May 2010.No reason for this
